Hey Fish Lover, We have a two-hundred and sixty gallon tank, a 100 gallon tank, two 55's...they are empty. Why...you might ask. Our home burned down two years ago and we haven't filled them up yet. The aquariums were a few of the things that we were able to salvage due to the water content, of course, the fish all died because it was 42 degrees outside and the next morning it was the same in the house, what was left of it. Anyway, my husband and I have always had aquariums, he started off with pirhana in Maryland, cool fish! We have always had fresh water fish, the ciclids are awesome and our favorite. I am kind of partial to oscars but they get too big and make a mess of the tank. Hopefully by the fall we will have the 260 filled with many ciclids and other fish. I have raised many lizards in tanks, too. I cannot tell enough people how peaceful a tank is, the sound of the water will sooth any beast, right? I have set up tanks for many of my friends in the past. I love putting drift wood in the mix, and of course, the fish love the tannic water. I have found that securing any rock or other items first with aquarium sealant helps alot. I like to use live plants but usually end up replacing them with plastic. The newer products that are on the market today are too awesome not to use. Don't you agree?
